This idea just popped into my head late last night.
I have been interested in Ancient history for the last couple of years, and the sexuality of men, especially those in the armies is something that is similar whether it be the Romans, Spartans or Samurai. Same sex relations improved the bonds between the warriors/soldiers and was common practice during times of warfare. It seemed to be something that didn't divide opinion like it does today.
